July sees the first of two very special becomeones this summer. As sunshine is a rare commodity in the UK we thought it rude to keep expecting you to delve deep inside the belly of Turnmills for your monthly becomeone fix – so we have decided to take becomeone to the sunshine!
becomeone moves up the stairs to Annexo for our exclusive summer sessions – Annexo is a luxurious Spanish themed bar which sits proudly on top of the Turnmills complex, it has two floors – one for dancing and one for drinking and the best thing is that it has an outdoor area which is perfect for you to catch those summer rays! In addition to some great drink offers we will also have a BBQ for you on the day with yummy homemade burgers, sausages and other alfresco delights – see below for the special offers that’ll be available on the day.
We are also moving the party to the later time of 16:00-midnight so you can enjoy the day before coming over for the festivities – this will be a perfect warm up to your Saturday night, and if you aren’t going out on Saturday night make it your main event! The music policy will also be changing as we turn a little piece of London into Ibiza for the day!
House music all night long is what we promise and we have a quality mix of established and up and coming DJ talent to provide the funky beats, breaks and twisted prog. Headlining the event is the man that rocks the best house room in London (in our opinion!) – Tom Real is resident for the legendary RIOT! and is one of the DJs that makes up the legendary Ignition Crew. Tom is renowned for his storming house and breaks set and the past year has seen him play the Gallery, RIOT!, At Night, Knowwhere and Frantic. Tom will be joining us for a peak time 2 hour set!
Joining Tom will be former becomeone resident miss c who is back to grace the b1 decks with her selection of deep & tech house – we cant wait to see her back where she belongs! OpaqueJake sent us one of the best house CDs we heard last year and this is the perfect time for him to make his b1 debut – expect electro infused house and sun infused techno from this new kid on the block. Joining them in this housey escapade will be residents Shaun Rowland & Tim Davison.
